What Gamebase Is

Gamebase began as one shared spreadsheet listing games and the pages each one still needed. It turned into a site with a ranked board across the front and a section underneath every title on that board.

How the board gets its order

The number beside a game counts the pages filed under it. Nothing else feeds the order. Sponsorship, studio requests and ad spend have no effect on rank.

What a game section holds

A covered title gets pages for starting out, how the game plays, where it can be played or bought, a route to full completion, player-side notes, and the smaller questions that follow all of those.

Where facts come from

Store listings, patch notes and other public material are the sources. Each page names what it used. A detail supported by one source only is labelled that way on the page rather than written as settled fact.

When a page is wrong

Send the page and the detail that changed. That page is reopened against its listed sources and corrected, and its update date moves with the fix.
