DustFall system requirements are modest: a 64-bit Windows 10 machine, DirectX 11, 4 GB of RAM and a GTX 960 or Radeon R9 280 at the minimum tier, rising to 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 6GB when recommended. Both tiers are lifted straight from the store page and are the only performance statements the listing makes.

The two tiers share their base and differ in memory, graphics and storage. Every line below is the store page wording, not a translation of it.

Both requirement blocks open with the same line about needing a 64-bit processor and operating system, which means 32-bit Windows is outside the supported range.

What Changes Between the Two Tiers

Three rows move between minimum and recommended, and one is worth flagging as published rather than corrected.

  • OS: unchanged, win10 at both tiers.
  • DirectX: unchanged, version 11 at both tiers.
  • Memory: 4 GB at minimum, 8 GB recommended.
  • Storage: 2 GB at minimum, 4 GB recommended — the same doubling as memory.
  • Graphics: GTX 960 or Radeon R9 280 at minimum, GTX 1060 6GB recommended.
  • Processor: i5-6400 at minimum, i7-6400 recommended, with the same AMD option listed at both tiers.

That last point is the one to keep in mind. The recommended AMD processor is written as the same FX 8320 that appears at the minimum tier, and the recommended Intel chip is written i7-6400. Both are as published on the store page and are marked to confirm rather than silently normalised.

Windows Version, DirectX and Storage

The listing names one operating system, win10, at both tiers. There is no separate Windows 11 requirement or support statement, and no mention of a driver version beyond the DirectX 11 line.

Storage is small by current standards: 2 GB available at minimum and 4 GB at recommended. The listing does not ask for an SSD, does not specify a resolution or frame-rate target, and does not mention upscaling or ray tracing. For a store page, that is the complete set of hardware commitments.

Controllers and Other Store Notes

The feature list attached to the listing does not contain a controller entry, neither full nor partial support, so no support claim is made on this page. What it does contain is a short and specific set: Single-player, Steam Achievements, Custom Volume Controls, Adjustable Difficulty, playable at your own pace, playable without timed input, Stereo Sound, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.

Steam Cloud is present, which means the store page-level cloud-save feature is marked on. The absence of a multiplayer, co-op or controller category is equally informative: this is a single-player game with a short list of comfort features.

What the Store Page Does Not State

The requirement blocks are complete for what they cover and silent on everything else. The following have no published answer.

  • macOS, Linux or console requirements: none exist, since no such build is listed.
  • A separate Windows 11 support statement: not published.
  • Resolution, frame-rate or quality-preset targets: not published.
  • SSD requirement or loading-time notes: not published.
  • Upscaling, ray tracing or other rendering features: not mentioned.
  • Controller support tier: no entry, so nothing is claimed.
